charactericics: -basidia form basidiospores in a hymenium which is variously exposed on the surface of a highly organized fruiting body -basidia usually club shaped and non septate -basidiospores are actively shot off of the sterigmata of the basidia -hyphae have doipore septa with spcialized pores between cells
